How it works

Kitchen cabinet configurator: pick the walls, let the rules lay it out

This demo lays out kitchen cabinets automatically from the room plan. Mark the cabinet walls, the window and the door; corner units, sink, dishwasher, hob, tall and wall cabinets are arranged by ergonomic and production rules. Changing fronts, handles, worktop or appliances recalculates the layout and the price.

  1. 01

    Room and walls

Start from a straight, L or U kitchen and enter the sizes; pick the cabinet walls with the "Cabinet wall" tool and place the window and door.

  2. 02

    Fronts, handles and worktop

Melamine, membrane, acrylic or lacquered fronts; bar, knob or handleless (gola) handles; laminate, compact or quartz worktop.

  3. 03

    Appliances and sizes

Choose hob width and type, oven position, fridge (built-in or freestanding), wall cabinet height and corner type (L, L with carousel, blind corner).

  4. 04

    Outputs

3D kitchen, plan and wall elevations, a priced bill of materials and a PDF quote.

Rules it checks

  • The sink goes under the window and the dishwasher next to the sink; no wall cabinets are placed in front of the window.
  • The hob sits 1.2-2.7 m from the sink with at least 30 cm of worktop on both sides; a hob in front of a window is not recommended.
  • Working height 850-950 mm and 500-650 mm between worktop and wall cabinets are recommended; hood clearance is checked.
  • Wall and tall cabinets are checked against the ceiling height.
  • Corners get an L unit, an L unit with carousel or a blind corner unit; blind corners get a filler so doors do not collide.
  • If the worktop cannot be one piece a joint is added; exposed cabinet sides are covered with front material.

Who is it for?

Kitchen cabinet manufacturers, furniture dealers and showroom sales teams: see the layout and price together with the customer in the first meeting and catch size and ergonomic errors at quote stage.

Dimensions, rules and prices in the demo are sample values. Your own configurator uses your product catalogue, production rules and price list.

Frequently asked questions

How is the layout built automatically?

Corners come first, then the sink, dishwasher, tall units and hob; remaining gaps are filled with standard widths using the fewest modules and the least leftover. Among several attempts, the layout with the fewest rule violations is chosen.

What happens if the window or door moves?

The layout is rebuilt: the sink follows the window, wall cabinets skip it and door fronts stay clear.

How is the price calculated?

Carcasses, front area, hinges and drawer runners, handles, worktop length and joints, plinth and appliance-related items are counted separately. Unit prices in the demo are samples.

Can it be adapted to our module catalogue?

Yes. Your module widths, front and worktop options, price list and layout rules are built into the configurator; the quote follows your own template.
