How it works
Glass balcony configurator: from floor plan to folding glass system
This demo builds a folding glass balcony system from the balcony plan. Draw the balcony or start from a template; when you pick the edges to glaze, each edge is split into panels and the parking points and opening direction are set. Glass thickness, panel weight, floor height and corner angles are checked by rules.

Balcony plan
Start from a straight, U or L balcony; split walls and drag corners to draw bay and multi-edge balconies. Doors and windows are part of the plan.

Edges to glaze
Click edges with the "Glaze" tool. Each edge is divided into equal panels according to its net length and the panel limits.

System and view
Choose glass thickness and tint (clear, grey, bronze), profile colour, opening direction and floor; see the glass open and closed in 3D.

Outputs
Panel count and widths for each edge, a priced parts list and a PDF quote with plan and edge elevations.
Rules it checks
- Edges are divided equally within panel width limits; edges that cannot be divided or are too short raise a warning.
- Maximum panel height depends on glass thickness; panel width is limited so a leaf stays under 45 kg.
- The number of panels per parking point is limited; with a crowded stack, opening to both sides is suggested.
- Corners between 90° and 180° are supported; in corner-turning systems panels pass the corner and park at one point.
- 10 mm glass and a wind lock are recommended on high floors; the final decision needs a wind load calculation.
- Handrail clearance is checked against the ceiling height; you are reminded to check building management rules before installation.

Can I draw bay or multi-edge balconies?
Yes. Right-click a wall to split it and drag corners to the real shape; each edge is divided separately and corner angles are checked.
How is the panel width calculated?
The net edge length is divided into equal parts within the system's minimum and maximum panel width; the leaf weight limit also caps the widest panel.
Does it calculate wind loads?
No. It gives floor-based recommendations; final glass thickness and locking must come from a wind load calculation.
Can it be adapted to our system?
Yes. Your profile system, glass options, panel limits and price list are built into the configurator.
